At A Way Home Housing, our mission is to provide a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for individuals in recovery. We are committed to maintaining structured, well-cared-for homes where accountability, respect, and personal responsibility support lasting sobriety and continued growth.
A Way Home Housing currently operates four sober living homes located in Gaithersburg and Rockville, Maryland. At this time, our residences serve men only. Plans for opening a women’s home are underway, and this page will be updated as additional housing becomes available.
Our homes are designed to provide a clean, comfortable, and supportive living environment. Residences include shared bedrooms, with a limited number of single rooms reserved for the most senior members of the house.
Each home offers welcoming shared living spaces, reliable Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchens, and ample room for residents to relax and connect. Cleanliness and upkeep are a top priority, and residents are expected to take pride in maintaining a respectful and well-kept home.
Away Home Housing is owned and operated by Sydney Tubbs, Derek Haller, and Michael Kirby. All three owners are in recovery and are personally invested in creating a safe, accountable, and supportive sober living environment.
Each home is overseen by a House Manager who is carefully selected by ownership. Our House Managers have demonstrated stability in recovery, personal responsibility, and a strong commitment to maintaining structure, safety, and community within the home. We are proud of the consistency, integrity, and care our House Managers bring to their roles.
